What is a graphic designer? This is a pretty common question I get asked, I think my parents are only JUST getting what I actually do, even though it’s been a few years now since I started my freelance career. As a graphic designer, I work on the visual side of a business’s branding which means designing things like your logo, packaging, business cards, flyers, advertisements, social media images, brochures, signage, banners and basically, anything that represents your business in a visual way .
Don’t be fooled though, it’s not solely about creating attractive pieces. I also have the responsibility of ensuring that everything I design aligns with your branding and that there is consistency in your communication. Visual elements such as fonts, colours, imagery and layout - I choose carefully and mindfully as they are all so significant in shaping your overall brand (see the Design Talk Series which talks about both branding and consistency!).
Not sure where to start with your branding? Let me help you!
